I don’t know of anything more important or less understood than God’s will for our lives. One of the best examples of how challenging it can be to discern it is found in the example of the apostle Paul. He had such an intense burden to win the Jews to Christ that he became convinced it was God’s will to go to Jerusalem, yet he was wrong. The Holy Spirit tried at least two different times to stop him, but he was convinced it was God’s will when it was not. The result was two wasted years of his life with no one being saved.
In spite of Paul’s example, it is possible for us to determine God’s will in certain particular areas of our lives as well as finding God’s new will if we discover that we are out of God’s will.
These lessons are jammed with Bible principles and truths that are timeless and idiot-proof. Everyone can find God’s will for his life if he is willing to abandon what he wants and is willing to accept what God has for him.
