Throughout the Bible, many comparisons are given to illustrate spiritual truth.  Jesus did this often in His preaching and teaching.  One common illustration used is that of comparing an individual’s life to that of building a house.  Just as one could build a house in which to live, we each are building our lives on this earth.  The quality of the home is up to each person.  Just as in this world, some will live in a rundown shack while others live in what could be called a dream home, some lives are unnecessarily difficult while others are seemingly blessed.  While God’s plan for each of our lives certainly has a part in this, often much of our lives is determined by the decisions we make.  When a person chooses to build his life on Biblical principles, he will build a house (life) which is strong, secure, and pleasant.  This Bible study uses the occasions in the Bible that building a life is likened to building a house and the underlying principles that are taught.  I trust that you will be blessed by this study!
